About OutletIQ

OutletIQ is field sales execution software for drinks and FMCG distributors. It is designed and built in Ireland by Fionn Murphy, the founder of FMOps.

OutletIQ field sales software is built in Ireland by Fionn Murphy, founder of FMOps, a business based in Waterford. It is made for drinks and FMCG distributors and centres on the outlet visit: proving that it happened, and recording the audit and the order made during it. Reps use an offline-first app on their own iPhone or Android phones. Managers use a web console with a review queue, where the app flags suspicious visits and a manager approves or rejects each one.

Each deployment is set up around the distributor’s own audit forms, order flow and approval chains, and priced by written quote rather than a published price list. You can open the public demo, which runs on invented data, or book a 20-minute walkthrough.

In Fionn’s words

Why does OutletIQ exist?

So that a distributor can see what happened on each outlet visit, not only what was reported. I built OutletIQ around four decisions, and you can check each one in the product.

  • Proof of the visit over self-reporting. A ticked box is not proof, so I designed the app to collect the evidence itself. When a rep clocks in, it records the GPS position and its accuracy, the distance from the outlet and how long the rep stays. It checks for signs such as fake GPS, too few location fixes, too short a visit or one device shared between reps. Anything suspicious goes to the review queue with its reasons and evidence, and a manager approves or rejects it. The app flags; the manager makes the final call.
  • Offline, on the phones reps already carry. Reps do not always have signal, so I built the rep app to work offline first: it keeps working without a connection and syncs when one comes back. It runs on iPhone and Android, so reps use their own phones and there is no hardware to buy.
  • Set up around your forms and approvals. Distributors already have their own audit questions, order flow and sign-off rules, so each deployment is set up around them. In the public demo, purchase orders pass three approval stages (line manager, admin manager, final), and a PDF is generated on final approval.
  • Quoted, not published, pricing. Deployments differ in reps, approvers, outlets, forms and rollout, so I quote each one in writing instead of publishing a price list. The pricing page sets out what moves a quote.

What it is

What is OutletIQ, and what is it not?

OutletIQ is narrow on purpose. It is software for drinks and FMCG distributors whose reps visit outlets, and it covers the field side of that work: proving the visit, recording what the rep found, capturing the order and handling the approvals around it.

  • Verified visits. GPS checks on every visit, and a review queue for anything suspicious.
  • Store audits. Configurable, sectioned forms for what reps check in each outlet.
  • Order capture. Reps enter cases and the agreed cost per case, the app calculates the totals, and managers see every order.
  • Routes and journey plans. Weekly routes assigned to each rep.
  • Purchase orders. LPOs that move through a multi-stage approval chain.
  • Time and expense. Expense claims go through an approval chain too.
  • CSV export. Orders come out as CSV for the systems you already run.

What it is not: an ERP, an accounting package or a general CRM for every kind of sales team. If your field team does not visit retail outlets, OutletIQ is probably not the right fit.

For how it fits the wider category, see retail execution software, field sales software and beverage distributor software.

How can I see OutletIQ for myself?

Open the public demo at demo.outletiq.ie. The sign-in page offers two ways in, Explore as manager and Explore as rep, and everything inside is invented: the distributor, the reps, the outlets and the orders. The demo data resets nightly.

The rep app also runs in a browser at demo-rep.outletiq.ie. If you would rather be shown around, book a 20-minute walkthrough of the rep app and the manager console, and bring your own questions.

Data and privacy

What happens to the details I send?

Details you send through the demo form are used only to arrange your demo and reply to your enquiry. They are sent to fionn@fmops.ie through our email provider and are not shared with anyone else. Only your name and work email are required; company, team size and a message are optional.

The privacy notice explains how this website handles personal data. The public demo holds invented data only. For a deployment, hosting and data export are written into the quote, as the pricing page explains.
