OutletIQ/OutletIQ vs Repsly
Comparison
Repsly is a strong retail execution platform for CPG brands. OutletIQ is built for the distributor that owns the stock as well as the visit. Here is what each one says it does, sourced from Repsly’s own pages, and where the fit differs.
Currently in production with a spirits distributor.
Repsly and OutletIQ solve overlapping problems for different buyers. Repsly is a retail execution platform sold to CPG brands and retail service companies, organized around the in-store visit: scheduling, forms, merchandising, promotion execution and AI shelf image recognition. OutletIQ is field sales execution for drinks and FMCG distributors, and it carries the order side of the same visit, including server-side pricing, purchase orders and multi-stage approvals.
If you are a brand sending merchandisers into retail you do not supply, Repsly is the more natural fit. If you are a distributor whose reps audit the outlet and take the order on the same call, that is the job OutletIQ was built for.
Side by side
Every Repsly row below comes from Repsly’s own website, checked on 13 September 2026 and linked at the foot of this page. Where Repsly does not describe something publicly, this page says so rather than guessing.
| Repsly, per its own site | OutletIQ | |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Retail execution. The homepage headline reads “The Future of Retail Execution Starts Here”. | Field sales execution for drinks and FMCG distributors, from the rep’s phone to the manager’s desk. |
| Who it names as customers | Leading CPG and retail service companies, with brands including L’Oréal, Mattel, Dyson and Adidas named on the homepage. | Distributors running their own field teams. Currently in production with a spirits distributor. |
| Published modules | Insights Dashboards, Field Team Management, In-Store Execution, Merchandising, Promotion Execution, Field Sales, Retail Services, Image Recognition and Territory Advisor. | Verified visits, store audits, order capture, routes and journey plans, manager console, approvals and purchase orders with PDF generation. |
| Order capture | Listed under Field Sales as product catalog and order entry. Product Catalog and Sales Documents appear from the Grow plan upward on the pricing page. | Catalog and cart with idempotent submission. Totals are recomputed server-side from the price book, so the device never sets a price. CSV export for every order. |
| Shelf image recognition | Offered. AI Image Recognition is a paid add-on available on the Scale and Flex plans. | Not offered. Audit photos are captured and attached to the visit record for manager review, but they are not scored automatically. |
| Visit verification | Workday Tracking and a Real-Time Activities Feed are listed in the Core plan. The site does not publish a detailed anti-fraud specification. | Four signals on every visit: geofence, 30-minute dwell, mock-GPS detection and location-fix density. Failures are flagged with a reason into a review queue. |
| Offline working | Promotes an “intuitively designed mobile app” for field teams. Offline behavior is not described in detail on the pages checked. | Offline-first. Local database plus an outbox that syncs when signal returns. A full day with no connection is a supported case, not an edge case. |
| Approvals and purchase orders | Not described as a module on the pages checked. | Multi-stage approval chains for expenses, leave and stock requests. Local Purchase Orders run the same chain and generate a PDF on final sign-off. |
| Devices | Mobile app for field teams. | Bring-your-own-device on everyday Android, deliberately light on data and storage. |
| Pricing | Four plans, Core, Grow, Scale and Flex, with paid add-ons for Single Sign-On, Integrations, Territory Advisor and AI Image Recognition. No figures are published. | Quote-only, priced per operation. Team size and rollout scope move the number. |

Where OutletIQ adds
A retail execution tool answers one question well: what was true in the outlet when the rep was standing in it. That is a real question and Repsly answers it for some of the largest CPG brands in the world.
A distributor has two more questions attached to the same visit. What did the outlet order, at what price, and who signed off on it. And can I trust that the visit happened at all, when the rep is on their own phone, on a route I cannot see, in a place with no signal.
Questions
Repsly is a retail execution platform for CPG brands and retail service companies, built around what happens inside the outlet: scheduling, forms, merchandising, promotion execution and shelf image recognition. OutletIQ is built for the drinks and FMCG distributor that owns the stock as well as the visit, so it carries outlet-level execution and the order side in one system, with server-side order totals, purchase orders and approvals.
No. As of 13 September 2026 the Repsly pricing page lists four plans, Core, Grow, Scale and Flex, along with the features in each and a set of paid add-ons, but it does not publish any figures. OutletIQ is also quote-only, priced per operation against team size and rollout scope.
Not usually. Repsly serves brands and retail service agencies that send people into stores they do not supply directly. OutletIQ is aimed at distributors running their own reps into their own trade, where the visit and the order belong to the same business.
OutletIQ is offline-first by design. The rep app runs on a local database and queues every action in an outbox that syncs when signal returns, so a rep can work a full day with no connection. Repsly promotes a mobile app for field teams; offline behavior is not described in detail on its public marketing pages, so ask Repsly directly if that is a deciding factor for you.
No. Repsly offers AI image recognition as a paid add-on on its Scale and Flex plans. OutletIQ captures audit photos and attaches them to the visit record for the manager review queue, but it does not score shelf images automatically. If automated planogram scoring is the core requirement, Repsly covers it and OutletIQ does not.
Four signals are cross-checked on every visit: GPS geofencing at the outlet, a 30-minute dwell check, mock-GPS detection and location-fix density. Anything suspicious is flagged with its reason and sent to the manager review queue with the photo evidence attached.
Not in OutletIQ. The device never sets a price. Order totals are recomputed server-side from the price book and submissions are idempotent, so a weak connection cannot create duplicate orders.
Yes. Book a 20-minute walkthrough of the OutletIQ rep app and manager console, then run the same scenarios past Repsly. Comparing the two against your own outlets and your own order flow is worth more than any table on a vendor site.
